Comparing And Contrasting

The Hunger Games (2012) - IMDb

Compare- what is the same?

Firstly, Katniss is featured on both of the movie posters. In the first poster, she is standing looking into the distance. In the second poster, she is shooting an arrow.

Secondly, the mocking jay pin is on fire in both of the posters. The first one is in the sky while the second one is behind the title.

Next, they both use gold block lettering for the title and release date.

Lastly, they both use darker colors like black and red.

Contrast- what is different?

Firstly, the first poster has a lot more detail than the other poster which only has Katniss and the mocking jay pin which is on fire.

Secondly, Peter is somewhere in the first poster while he is nowhere in the second one. He is displayed on a screen in the first movie poster.

Next, the movie comment in the second poster is in white while the comment in the second movie cover is in gold.

Lastly, Katniss is shooting an arrow in the second poster and standing still in the first poster.

This is a book cover that I designed using Google Drawings.

Iberian ribbed newt

For the past few days, we have been learning about different animal defences. I chose to do the Iberian ribbed newt because I thought the way it protected itself was interesting.  The key words are highlighted in pink.

The Lion King

In English for the past week or so, we have been learning about the hero's  quest in a chosen movie. This task has taught me how to download snippets of videos in a website called kapwing and how to insert them into a google slide.
